Major changes are made to the set
again. Tonight, 'The Rain Song' is performed for the first time on the tour in an acoustic
arrangement. 'Tea For One' also makes it's debut as a complete performance. The band get
somewhat confused on the opening section and the number is called to a half for a fresh
start. "This is rehearsal for the bootleg", comments Plant.
The are further problems with the monitors during 'Yallah' and the number is finally
aborted after two attempts. A very loose, experimental and interesting show.

Tonight's show opens in a very
low-key nature. Robert & Jimmy take the stage with practically no lighting and begin
with 'The Rain Song'. This leads through acoustic based versions of 'No Quarter' and
'Babe, I'm Gonna To Leave You' before continuing with the usual set. 'Tea For One' is a
total contrast to last night's performance. Page's solo is simply breathtaking.

More of a standard set tonight. 'The
Rain Song' has now been dropped and 'That's The Way' is recalled. 'Custard Pie' is
peformed as the first encore - only it's second airing on the tour after it's debut in
Ireland seven months ago. 'Bring It On Home' is effectively played twice tonight,
appearing also in the 'Whole Lotta Love' medley in it's original Sony Boy Williamson
arrangement and featuring Plant on harmonica.

more changes. 'Custard Pie' is promoted to second number in the set and includes a killer
harmonica solo from Plant. 'Tangerine 'returns and is probably the most beautiful version
of the tour. 'Whole Lotta Love' tonight includes 'King Bee' and 'What Is And What Should
Never Be' now returns as an encore. "We'll see you when we've got some new
ideas!" is Robert's parting comment.

Although the band have now left
Tokyo, the experimentation continues. 'Custard Pie' has moved position again and is now
the opening number. 'Wonderful One', not played since last May, makes a surprise
appearance with a new string arrangement. 'Ten Years Gone' makes it's only appearance of
the tour. This number had been prepared as far back as last February, but only finally
makes an appearance tonight after an afternoon rehearsal at the venue. Jimmy uses the brow
Telecaster for this number, which also features the string orchestra.
