Duncan's Mills, California

July 19th and 20th, 2003

The Duncan's Mills reenactment is hosted by CHAS, another reenacting unit in California, and enjoys the attendance of ACWA and NCWA reenacters. This combines for a substantial turnout which makes good use of the site. The battlefield is fairly flat, but is situated in a valley lined with trees. Shade abounds, and the unusual shape of the field lends itself to interesting scenarios which are very interesting for the public. Both campsites are very large, providing ample room for even the large number of reenacters present. The CHAS puts on an excellent reenactment at Duncan's Mills, one of the best in California.
