The government makes way for the new American Raj in Pakistan

Hizb ut Tahrir, Pakistan

The Acquisition and Cross Servicing Agreement signed between Pakistan and America on 9 February has been billed as a reward for Pakistan in the aftermath of her betrayal of the Muslims of Afghanistan. However, in reality, it only underscores the capitulation of the military leadership in the face of ever increasing American control of Pakistan’s affairs. The agreement is designed to facilitate joint exercises, training, deployments and other combined activities between the militaries of the two countries. No doubt, America will use this close access to the Pakistan military to candidly monitor and assess its strength and weakness and to cultivate fresh American agents within its ranks. It is forbidden under sharia law to allow non-Muslims to exert control over the affairs of the Muslims. In fact the whole Muslim ummah including the rulers and armed forces are duty bound to expel the imperialist America from Muslim land.

But the true extent of current American military thinking is revealed by the news of American demands for lease of 20,000 acres of land in Balochistan, so that it can establish a permanent military base in Pakistan. This is despite already having permanent control of the Jacobabad base. By conceding to such demands, the military regime is ready to repeat the fatal mistake of the Mughals who granted permission for standing armies to the British East India Company ostensibly to protect their trading posts, only to discover some years later that they had to surrender themselves to the British Raj, thereby ending Muslim rule of India. Only the Khilafah can protect the Muslims of Pakistan from this new American Raj, as it will consider the security of the Muslim ummah to be a vital issue that must be protected at all costs, and it will undertake all possible measures to thwart America’s nefarious designs to gain control of the strategic assets of the Muslim world. From the onset the Khilafah will pursue a strong industrial policy driven by a self-sufficient economy that is dedicated to building a powerful military infrastructure, thereby enabling it to stand firm against the western powers, most notably America.
