E3 Blowout! By Kyle V Yes E3 is upon us yet again, the biggest event in the gaming world...the place where the gaming guru's show off their newest games and add-ons. In general this is the biggest collection of video game geeks in the world, but is that really a bad thing? Nintendo has revealed many of it's awesome games at this event including numerous Zelda titles, this year, however, Nintendo has not said much about upcoming games yet, after Zelda the line of exclusive games for the GCN has seemed to stop. Fear no more Nintendo is just getting started, in this article I'll tell you about Nintendo's biggest upcoming games. Since this is a zelda site let's start with the new Zelda games, yes games, not game. This year we are getting three new Zelda, or Zelda related games. First we have Soul Calibur 2, the sequel to Soul Calibur, and Soul Blade. SC2 is a fighting game a bit like Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat, but it differs by paying more attention to weapon based combat than kicking and punching. Now you're probably wondering what this has to do with Zelda, unless of course you already know. Each console version of Soul Calibur 2 will feature a character exclusive to that console and the Gamecube is the only version starring our favourite Hylian warrior. Link will participate in this game using his trusty sword and shield. The next two games were recently mentioned at the same time. The first one is Four Swords for Gamecube which is not to be confused with the GBA version. The GCN version has the same idea behind it, you and three other players play as four links and work together to complete dungeons while competing for rupees, blah, blah, blah. But this new Gamecube version features many cool new features. The best of these features is the ability to have your own screen on the GBA which shows you character when he gets separated from the group...Sweet. The second game is Tetra's Trackers which is a racing type game where players play as Link who has to race around various worlds collecting stamps as quickly as they can, to be honest this game looks a bit rushed and probably won't be very good, but four swords looks like it's worth a look, and Soul Calibur 2 will probably be awesome. Next on our Tour is the Gamecube exclusive titles that are looking very promising. These include Pikmin 2, F-Zero, P.N 03, Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy, Sonic Adventure DX, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Golf, Star Fox Armada, Geist, Rouge Squadron 3, Kirby Air Ride, Billy Hatcher and the Giant egg, Pokemon Closseum, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Mario Party 5, Harvest moon, Phantasy Star Online Episode 3, Viewtiful Joe, WrestleMaina XIX and that's just the exclusive titles. Along with these games the GCN is also getting a ton of games that are available on multiple platforms. To make a long story short, those who thought the Gamecube was done making great exclusive games must of never heard of vacations, our favourite console is just taking a breath before it starts burning the competition, so look for more and more great games in the following months.
