AMSOIL 2-CYCLE OILS

  What's special about AMSOIL Synthetic 100:1 and Injector 2-Cycle Oils? First they're synthetic. That means they handle heat, lubricate and cool better than conventional two-cycle oils do. And they keep engines cleaner than conventional two-cycle oils do. In fact, over time AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils actually remove deposits left by conventional two-cycle oil.

  AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils may be used in air-cooled and water-cooled applications. Conventional two-cycle oils often require separate air-cooled and water-cooled formulations; the formulation for air-cooled engines contains additives that help it cope with the higher temperatures of air-cooled engines but those additives leave deposits in water-cooled engines, which run cooler than air-cooled engines do. Because the synthetic basestocks in AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils handle high temperatures without additive help, they may be used in water-cooled engines with no danger of additive-induced deposit formation.

  Synthetic basestocks also allow AMSOIL Synthetic 100:1 2-Cycle Oil to be used at the economical 100:1 ratio rather than the 32:1 or 50:1 ratios (more info) recommended for onventional two-cycle oils and synthetic basestocks allow AMSOIL Synthetic Injector Oil to be used in arctic conditions (SAE F/M 4). Most conventional two-cycle oils are not arctic use.

  PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

  AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils are superior quality lubricants which provide maximum protection and outstanding performance in two-cycle gasoline engines. AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils provide lower engine temperatures, higher power output and cleaner operation than conventional oils provide. AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils also provide maximum oxidation

  protection, anti-corrosive characteristics and improved starting in low temperatures. AMSOIL Synthetic Injector 2-Cycle Oil is formulated for use in all injector type two-cycle gasoline engines. It may also be used as a pre-mix at the manufacturer's recommended mix ratio.

  AMSOIL Synthetic 100-1 2-Cycle Oil is formulated for pre-mixing with gasoline at a fuel/oil mix ratio of 100-1. AMSOIL Synthetic Biodegradable 2-Cycle Oil is formulated for use in oil injector systems or as a pre-mix oil at the manufacturer's recommended mix ratio.

  Resists Thermal Breakdown from Heat AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils resist oil breakdown caused by heat to prevent the formation of varnish and carbon deposits. AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils also lower engine temperatures to inhibit power robbing thermal expansion in hard driven engines. The protection given to engine components reduces maintenance costs.

  Resist High Temperature Deposits

 AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils promote clean burning. They form no gum, varnish, sludge, carbon or ash residues. Deposits previously formed from conventional oils are often dissolved. Spark plug fouling and excessive carbon build-upon piston domes and exhaust ports are virtually eliminated. Rings remain free for excellent compression, and exhaust emissions are greatly reduced.

  Reduce Wear Throughout the Engine

  AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils protect pistons and rings from wear caused by metal-to-metal contact under the hottest loaded conditions. The lubricity properties in AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils provide a durable film that protects moving parts against wear. Also, AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils reduce friction to lower engine operating temperatures.

  Outstanding Low Temperature Performance

  AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils mix readily with fuel, even in low temperatures. AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils resist gelling to provide excellent performance and protection in low temperatures.

  Biodegradability

  AMSOIL Synthetic Biodegradable 2-Cycle Oil is formulated to be easily degraded by microorganisms present in water and soil. It is 77 percent biodegradable, surpassing the European CEC L-33-T-82 biodegradability test requirements by 11 percent. Conventional two-cycle oils are only 10 to 20 percent biodegradable.

Prevent Rust and Corrosion

  AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils contain special rust and corrosion inhibitors which provide two-cycle engines with excellent protection, especially during off season storage.

  Application

 AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils exceed the lubrication and performance requirements of all gasoline powered two-cycle engines built after 1960. Applications include outboard motors, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, chainsaws, lawnmowers and more.

  AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils surpass API TC-3, TD-3, TD-4 and NMMA TC-Wll and TC-W3 performance test requirements as listed.

  AMSOIL Synthetic 100-1 2-Cycle Oil is not suitable for mixing with methanol or other special fuels. However, it may be used with reformulated, oxygenated or other alcohol enhanced gasoline.

  Mix Ratios

  The mix ratio for AMSOIL 100-1 2-Cycle Oil is as follows:

  1.3 oz. oil per 1 U.S. gallon gasoline

  0.34 oz. oil per 1 liter gasoline

  8 oz. oil per 6 U.S. gallons gasoline

  For AMSOIL Injector and/or Biodegradable Oil, mix at engine manufacturer's recommended mix ratio in either premix or oil injection systems. Engines modified for racing should use a 50:1 mix ratio, with adjustments to the mix ratio being made based on head temperatures and spark plug examination.

  New Engines Under Warranty

 The use of AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils will not void engine warranties. Warranties are based on the use of oils passing specific tests. AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils meet the current requirements as listed and thus are perfectly suited for use in any engine requiring oils meeting those specifications without affecting the validity of the warranty.
