Her dad was fresh from mainland China, the tale said that his mum died when he was little and his dad was re-married. His step mum treated him so badly. When he was 15, he took the boat and sailed to Indonesia to find a better future. He was a great Kung Fu Master. When he was 17 he returned to China and met his future wife. They came back to Indonesia. My Emak was born in Semarang 1928, 19th March. She was good in households and very dicipline, she is very soft-hearted, too. Her youth wasn't easy during the Dutch and Japan invasion. She had to run away with her family and other chinese people to one area to another. When she was in her 20s her parents introduced her to my grandpa. They got married and have 8 children. I think she's a good mother because all of her children love her. I think this is the greatest accomplishment. My mum doesn't like Emak, I don't know why. I think my mum is just jealous because my dad loves Emak so much. And I think my dad is not smart by letting that image happens. Anyway, personally I love my emak. I remember when I was in Gunung Agung (book store) she let me have alot of my fav. novels and she paid for it. She likes to give clothes too, and to the aids and drivers too. But I think she's very lonely. I like old people. I love my emak and my oma. They tell a ot of stories. I went to China to learn chinese because I wanted to speak with my Emak with chinese. But as I returned in 2002, she was ill with heart cancer... I talked to her in chinese, I wanted her to be proud of me. But I couldn't talk to her for so long in chinese... she passed away early that year...
