In June 7th took place the controversial, third attack of H-3 AB. Discussion about the necessity of this attack is beyond the scope of these pages.

The Vautours operations during the third day were dedicated mainly to support the IDF ground forces, in all three fronts, and to assist in photo-recconaissance and ECM activity.

  • A quartet of Vautours, escorted by Mirages, took off from Ramat David

  • Syrian Heights - attack of Aleika camps.
    * Time: 06:57 - 07:25, 0:30 ;

  • Sinai, Mitle Pass, attacking Egyptian armour, pairs of Vautours

    3. [ R. Goren + Ben-Shua, 62 ] [ M. Dvir ] ; 11:50 - 13:05, 1:15.
    The Vautours used 500 kg. bombs and Napalm.
    This action blocked the Egyptian forces in the narrow pass and later attacks destroyed the majority of the armour and vehicles.
  • Golan Heights, attacking Syrian armour still advancing towards the Lake of Galilee.

    * The Vautours attacked with 500 kg. bombs (4 per aircraft).
    * According to the Israeli ground forces reports, this attack contributed immensly not only by the accurate hits and destruction, but also for the Israeli troops moral.
  • {More attacks were carried out; To avoid A-A fire bombing was done from a height of 15,000 feet, and was continurd strafing provided the A-A guns had stopped. }
