Warcraft III reign of chaos

It has been nearly fifteen years since the war between the orcs and humans ended. An uneasy peace settled over the land while, for years, the drums of war were silent. Yet the kingdoms of men grew complacent in their victory - and slowly, the defeated orcish clans regrouped under the banner of a new visionary leader.

Now a darker shadow has fallen over the world, threatening to extinguish all life - all hope. The drums of war play upon the winds once again - rising urgently towards the inevitable hour when the skies will rain fire - and the world will tremble before the coming of the Burning Legion.

The Day of Judgment has come...

The story
This is the way the game begins. After a lovely intro which will ask all the memory of your computer and graphic ability’s the game starts. You will have to start whit a tutorial which every warcraft addict hates. It’s to easy and say’s nothing of the game, the only thing which is interesting is the starting movie and the new ability of the hero’s. These are new units who will make ore break your army, but later more of them. The tutorial consists of four. What is different from other games is the story line, you can’t pick one of the races at the beginning but the game is so made that you start as the humans. If you finished the story of the humans, the un death will appear as playable race. This is one of the think I don’t like about the game. I want to play as one race and not as all of them, but I can live with it. The story it self’s is about a young human prince who must go to the outskirts of his son to be kingdom. He must finis of the undead who make all the inhabitants of this land one of them. The prince “Arthas” is send to stop them. He succeeds (if you do) but is cursed in the last stage and kills his friend and will be an undead. The story of the humans ands her and the undead story is ready to start.

Who needs a Hero if he has me
The heroes are the most important units of your small army. They can make ore break it. You can make tree heroes whit all different powers and magical spells. You heroes will progress during the game and it’s just like a rpg. He gets experience point which will make him better and level him up. When this happens he gets a new, more powerful spell. You heroes consist of a magician and two fighters, the last two are the most common and most just.

Come out, all you new people
The normal races of warcraft are the humans and orcs, these two have fought long battles in the two earlier released games. In this game, two more races come to play. The undead and the night elves, each with new and special abilities. The night elves have buildings which can move, the undead can summon buildings so that you can build multiple buildings without losing people, the humans can harvest more lumber and the orcs are very powerful in ground attacks. All these abilities cover the fact that the heroes are all the same, so are the units. This is the most irritating thing of the whole game, every unit, no matter which race is the same. Only a few units are different from the rest.

The graphics
The most important thing of the games the last time are the graphics. I think that it shouldn’t matter if the graphics are great or not. I’ve played it on low graphics because my computer isn’t that great, but still it looks great, a little blurry sometimes, but who cares. The little movies between the levels are the same as the graphics of the game. This is a bit weird if you are know to a real cut movie between the levels like in red alert. The only times when a real movie is shown is at the beginning and end of a chapter. Each chapter has ten levels and I think there are five chapters, so you do the math. These movies look very good and are fun to watch, it’s a same that they made more movies and that you don’t have a special part where the movies are stored so that you can see them over and over again.

Point and click?
The gameplay is the most important aspect of every game. If the game has no gameplay but the graphics are great, the game wont sell. No one wants to have a game without a good story and gameplay. Every developer wants to make a game with booth and blizzard comes with a game that has booth. The graphics are good, but the gameplay is better. It plays every easy and with a tutorial every one can play it in a matter of minutes, but that doesn’t guaranty that its easy. The game it self is quiet easy for a experience player. Its also fun that there are only two difficult levels, normal and hard. In a normal game there isn’t any difficult level, so this is very hard, and I only won one time so far. I must say I don’t do this to often, I play the normal levels more.

Scream as hell
Well the sound is nearly as important as the gameplay. It will give some dark power to the game. Even the cry’s of the killed people sound great, only if there not yours. The sound of breaking bones and blood purring out of open wounds is very tasteful. The surrounding sound is good, you hear little birds fly and other little things, but after some time you will hear nothing, you will be to deep in the game that you even wont hear your girlfriend screaming at you. One of the funny things of warcraft is the units, they al have a few funny lines, which they will say if you click a few times on them, some ten lines. This is very funny when you have nothing to do and you economy is running good, you should try them all out.

Graphics
The graphics look great but you must have a good pc if you want to see the game in its true potential
