| A Global Threat/Broken - Split Controlled Conscience Release Over all an expectable punk split, don’t go out of your way to get it but pick it up if you find it for like 4 bucks. BROKEN - The guitar is a little drowned out and muffled on this recording, and the vocals seem a little distant, but damn its punk, so fuck it. The guitarist is wonderful, but the drums are bland, but don’t fear they have a exciting vocalist to push themselves into an overall superior category. A GLOBAL THREAT - The biggest problem I had with this record was it is advertised as one of the most important political punk releases of 99’. I am pro life and the song “Cause for Abortion” by A Global Threat, is just plain dumb, and I am upset that this song can be considered “political”. All it does is say that every Pro-Lifer is a hypocrite because they have all murdered people too, this, being followed by no explanation what so ever, is completely fraudulent and childish. Might as well just shout out names. As for A Global Threats music, it is unfortunately great fast pogo punk that I, under normal circumstances, would highly recommend. |
