| The Queers - Today Lookout! Records Five pop songs done very badly. That’s the basis of this and every other Queers release. Happy little pop songs about love, and living on the moon, done with simple distorted guitars, emotionless vocals, and a constantly looping bass line. I don’t have a problem with this CD, its a problem with Joe Queer in general. He is the most heartless singer that I’ve run into in my music collection, he’s barely speaking on every song. So let me just say this to Joe, snap out of it and you’ll start making 10 times better music. I mean this is a good release, but its SO simple and chipper that I every once in a while think that I bought a 60’s garage bands CD by mistake. This EP has 4 Queers songs, which are all up to their usual par, and 1 beach boy cover, “Salt Lake City”, which is good for a listen or two then I got really fucking sick of it. 5 bucks, 5 songs, and good for about 5 listens. Buy this if your already a devote Queers fan, and you know what your buying, otherwise you’ll just end up kinda disappointed. |
