Hello, and welcome to this page. This page exists for a few reasons. The main reason behind it all is that I like board games to a fairly extensive extent. Secondly, is that since going to Archbishop Tenisons Sixth Form, I've realised that other people have similar likes, and that gathering in groups of two or more to play cards or chess or what-have-you is actually more fun than a lot of other things, and is even acceptable behaviour for teenagers. Obviously, it can be taken to extremes, but there is something quite great about balancing seriousness with insanity perhaps most importantly with laid-back-ness.
Some History
2002-2003 - Chess and card games played in Room 14, Tenison's School.
11th Jan 2003 - Adam's party, wicked in many respects besides the fact we played cards (Hearts) on his table.
16th May 2003 - Tom, Richard & Nick came round and were introduced to the game of Risk.
June 2003 - Tom instigates 8-player chess tournament [Tom, Toni, Mayuri, Aaron, Lerys, Neil, Richard, Justin] The eight are gathered, helped by the fact I now have May's number.
30th June 2003 - Combined Risk/Chess event at my house. Risk is played with people phased into the game on their arrival - this was not really fair, so we resolved to play another date. Only 3 of the tournament chess games are played, and one was a draw. Resolved to continue the tournament at a later date (At the time of writing, this still hasn't happened: Hence this page!)
5th October 2003 - Monopoly at my house [Tom, May, Neil, Adam, Toni] Adam wins.
November 2003 - Monopoly at May's house [May, Toni, Kevin, & Neil]
24th January 2004 - Risk at my house, including Connect 4, Rummycub and chess. (Also Pizza and Coke.) [Neil, Felicity, Adam, May, Kevin, Nicole, Graham, Toni, Joshua]
Here follows the older version of the page. This page is under construction.
