How The Backstreet Boys Met

It all started about 4 years ago when a young trio went to sing for a record producer, Lou Pearlman. The trio who we know as AJ Mclean, Nick Carter and Howie Dorough, harmonized beautifully and Lou Pearlman gave them a record deal. But he thought that they should add more voices to enrich their music. A friend of Lou's knew a young man named Kevin Richardson who was working at Disney World at the time. He called Kevin up and told him to come and check out the group of guys that 'harmonize all the time'. So Kevin came down to check them out. Soon after he arrived he joined them.

Then he thought we should add one more voice to make our music complete. So he called up his cousin, Brian Littrell, and had him called out of class. The next day Brian came down to Orlando and helped the guys come up with the name,'Backstreet Boys' after the teen hang out The Backstreet Market. After Brian had joined them they knew that they were ready. The rich voices of AJ Mclean, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson soon had girls falling in love with their hit singles,'We've Got It Goin' On, Get Down, I'll Never Break Your Heart, Anywhere For You and Quit PLaying Games With My Heart'. After releasing their debut album in Europe and Canada they became #1 in the charts and in girls hearts all over the world. Now they're just releasing their first album in the US and their second album in Europe(coming to Canada in August).

to think that if Lou Pearlman wasn't smart enough to sign them to a record deal there wouldn't be any AJ, Brian, Nick, Howie or Kevin. And our lives would be so boring! I want to say Thank you to Lou Pearlman for making these guys go after their dreams and for making them #1 all over the world.
