Mechanics of legislative affairs mirror those of any grassroots political or public interest group movement. We talk, make presentations to groups, write letters, raise money, build alliances. Although AAF&G as an organization cannot endorse or contribute to specific political candidates, we can do so as private citizens.
All AAF&G members are urged to join in and assist in the Legislative Action Program. Contact your local officials and let your voice be heard.
The Legislative Action Program at AAF&G primarily seeks to protect and expand gun and other rights as covered in the U.S. Constitution and affected by legislation and government actions at the national, state and local levels. The primary activity is educating the public and public officials, i.e., getting our message across in a positive, persuasive, probitive and polite process.
