The ultimate African experience : a week on safari in the bush, in quest of the “Big Five”! And absolutely opulent accommodation!

DATES Available at all times

Day 1

Arrive Johannesburg. Transfer by road to the lavish Lost City resort on the edge of the Pilanesberg National Park. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the amenities and surrounds of the resort : golf, tennis, swimming, a hike, or just relaxing in the sun. BB.

Day 2

Lost City. Full day game drive into the Pilanesberg National Park, with lunch at one of the lodges in the reserve. BB.

Day 3.

Lost City. At leisure. BB.

Day 4

Flight from Sun City airport to Nelspruit, in the Mpumalanga Lowveld. Private twin-engined aircraft flight to Djuma Vuyatela Lodge in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve on the edge of the Kruger National Park. Our time will be spent primarily in quest of “The Big 5” (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros), with morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles, optional game walks (with an armed guide, naturally!), and night drives. There will also be plenty of time to soak up the African sun around the pool. Accommodation is at Vuyatela Lodge, with private plunge pools, 2 game-viewing decks overlooking a water-hole and a library. All meals included.

Days 5 to 7

Djuma. As above.

Day 8

Return flights to Johannesburg for connections with return flights.
