Captain,
The USS CURIE is ordered to begin mapping of the sector beyond Dergrad territory - the Kyathane Sector. A permit has been provided by the Dergrad Empire for the CURIE's passage through their space and they will provide escort in the form of their new HEC'NU-class vessel, the HOY'TI. The vessel will rendevous with you at the edge of Dergrad territory - do not enter Dergrad space until the HOY'TI has greated you.
My apologies for not delivering these orders personally, as you know a *situation* has arisen demanding my presence at SB OMEGA.
I am aware of engineering problems with the CURIE (I will be talking to the Gaia staff shortly after my arrival at SB OMEGA), DS 101's facilities are on standby for your arrival and will begin repairs immediatly - the Dergrad Empire are also aware of this, please contact their chief of alien affairs when the repairs are complete - the HOY'TI will be dispatched promptly.

Unfortunately, the Dergrad have refused passage back through their territory to complete this mission at this time.
