USS CURIE -- Prisoner Rescue

The USS CURIE NCC-66004-A, damaged beyond repair by its encounters on the far side of the Cocoon, and amazing method of return, is to be decommissioned and replaced with a new Magellen class ship.

Z'Dark was called back to the Kzin homeworld, Judah woke from his coma and began recovering, Kelen and Kalayah have a short romantic interlude, Karra'gana has been reassigned to the USS ATHENE and Lt(jg) Mike, arrives to fill the OPS position.

Led by Kelen, the volunteering crew are prepared for a non-starfleet mission to retrieve a starfleet crewmen held captive in the Romulan sector, where Kelen himself had once been held a prisoner.

The comission a freighter, the SS BARRACUDA, for the mission. The SS BARRACUDA sets off, and after entering Romulan space has been, was hailed by the TALON. Kalayah and Sarak put forward a cover story of trade, apparently successfully. Meanwhile, at DS101, Arago remained behind, and the new USS CURIE arrived, Captain Morris Bright, head of Cocoon Engineering at the helm.

The SS BARRACUDA was boarded and inspected by Romulans from the TALON. Kalayah and Sarak managed to satisfy the inspection team with one small infringement, enabling the freighter to announce it has passed inspected. Those members of the crew that were hidden in the cargo hold were brought out of hiding once the Romulans departed.

The BARRACUDA arrived at Theta Prime, and Kalayah's shuttle was launched landing three and a half miles from the Ordondell Research Centre. Kelen, Galia, Niki, Mike, and Dr. Fitzpatrick were ready to begin the trek to the outpost itself. Galia was in a mildly dazed state after seeing the ocean on the viewscreen and being shocked by flashbacks.

As Z'Dark, Riley, and the CURIE's new, Etyri CSO, Mara'Ooarks headed into the Romulan sector in the FIRST BLOOD, Kelen 'woke' to find himself in a Romulan mental hospital, where he has been instructed to destroy his 'simulated' colleagues.

Kelen and Kalayah were still unaccounted for, but the rest of the CURIE senior staff made it back to DS101, having successfully rescued the prisoners. Galia reassures them that Kelen and Kalayah will be alright.
