Modifications:

Modifications to the USS CURIE were completed on SD 13.0907.1259 The modifications include a minimum reflectance surface on the vessel for minimal background noise. This not only enhances the use of sensors (eliminating sensor ghosts), as in the prior Feynman class, but has the side effect of making the ship appear black from most view angles and provides passive protection against being scanned. As with the coating on the prior Feynman class CURIE, beacons are used in non-hostle encounters to identify the CURIE.

Please note that the picture above is of a general Magellen class vessel, the USS CURIE, NCC-830001, has the coloration of the Feynman class (but not, obviously, its design). See the banner on the main CURIE page for an image of the original CURIE and thus the coloration of the current CURIE.
