Notes:

Deep Space 101 is originally of Alien Construction, Starfleet engineers have found it
difficult to intergrate up-to-date Federation technology with the old power systems of
the station but eventually have succeeded with their hard work.
When bringing the station into operational status once more the repairs crew were careful
to keep to the original structural designs outlined in the stations computer, although
re-inforcements of some weak areas was required. With this done the station has kept
it's almost *organic* look and larger decks(about twice the height of those usually seen in
a station. This space has been used well in areas such as 'The Mall' and 'Club 101' where
extra levels to shops have been added to take full advantage of the huge space at the
disposal of the shop/club owners.

The two docking bays were discovered to be semi-organic, reacting to electrical impulses
inabling them to securely latch onto a vessel and alter the airlocks to whatever
configuration is required. It should be noted that although the docking bays are semi-organic,
despite appearances no other area of the station is.

A second docking bay, larger than Docking bay 1 is located between deck
numbers 50 and 51. Each docking bay has a number of airlocks at which
ships of varying sizes can dock, the largest for docking bay one being
a FEYNMAN-class starship, and perhaps a few light freighters at the same
time. Docking bay 2 can probably squeeze in two FEYNMAN-class vessels,
or ship(s) of the equivalant size.

Decks 31 to 47 contain private sector leases (Hotels/flats), several
bars and restaurants are also on these decks(think the lower decks
of B5).

DS 101 has a MANTA RAY class vessel docked permanently for away-from-base
missions and general patrol duty.

Upon Starfleet taking ownership of DS 101 many modifications have been
made, including the modification of a probe launcher to launch torpedos ,
and two phaser banks. Systems have been upgraded and replaced to Starfleet
standards and a new computer core has been installed with a backup located on
the lower decks. The old computer still remains on the station linked to
the main computer.
