So, you want to know about me? What would you like to know? I am 5'2" tall. I weigh about 150 pounds and am working on getting that to be less although, like most people, not very hard. I have short, dark red hair and hazel eyes that need glasses. My uniform of choice is a t-shirt and a pair of cotton Bermuda shorts Spring through Fall, slacks in the Winter, and socks most of the time. I am resident of the Los Angeles, California area. I've lived here since January 1981 when I migrated from the downriver Detroit, Michigan where I was born and raised. Initially, when I got here, I intended to study computer programming and operation and go back to Michigan. However, almost as soon as I arrived, I met my husband, a student in the same computer classes as I was attending, and six months later we were married. I've never really looked back although I've been back for a visit a couple of times--the family is still there, ya know. Bobwiser, my husband, and I live in a modest little house in the LA burbs, not far from Orange County line, where nothing much happens most of the time. We're kind of glad to have it that way although home ownership can be fun, or at least interesting. The wonderful world of bathroom plumbing and what can go wrong with it is our most recent discovery of note. We're not far from Disneyland. Being a native Californian (he was born here), you would think Bobwiser would be really into mouseville, but until recently, he wasn't. I, on the other hand, love Mickey Mouse and cannot get enough of him. I especially collect t-shirts, small PVC figures of Mickey, and items emblazoned with his image. This year, however, we both acquired season passes to both parks--Disneyland and California Adventure. On our date night, we hop in the car and go and stroll the streets, ride the rides, watch the parades, and have a meal. Bobwiser especially appreciates it that they have recently begun serving beer in Downtown Disney. I prefer the designer ice tea or coffee. I hold degrees in English literature and linguistics from both Michigan and California with advanced studies in psychology, mythology, and history. Aside from collecting Mickey Mouse stuff, things I like to do include: wood working, webpage design, quilting and cross-stitch, herb gardening, reading science fiction, studying mythology and the origins of holidays, creative writing of short story and poetry, and cooking. That last of my endeavors is the one that Bobwiser likes best. I am also an avid user of Yahoo! communities for chatting and general fun.
