There I was,
blissfully shopping (and buying, of course) in Heart Bead on
the Plaza in Arcata. I had the best parking place too, right
in front of the store. And
what did I see? An Arcata policeman was writing a parking ticket
for MY car! |
 |
Somehow, Arcata had started enforcing the two hour parking
limit, and I was blissfully ignorant of ANY parking limits. I pleaded with the nice, young officer to take pity on a
bead-addicted out-of-towner, but my pleas fell on deaf ears.
He had already entered my vehicle information into his little
handheld computer. Since he could not be persueded to grant me
leniency I brought out my digital camera and snapped his picture
as he waved goodbye. |

I told him I could have his picture posted on my
website soon after I drove the 150 miles home. He asked for my
website address, so I gave it to him. http://www.anniebee.com |

And there you have the story, or most of it anyway. The fine
is $15. I was so distraught I had to go back inside Heart Bead
and buy more treasures. |
