Red 2 Piece Dress

A rather verbose update this week. But it is my site. So there you go, here’s a number of thoughts that quite frankly are apropos of nothing.

Here’s a nice Dana Kay red dress. For those of us on the voluptuous side, there is always enough room in Dana Kay fashions. I wonder if there is a Dana Kay? Maybe in the same way there is an April. Sorry white wine is kicking in.

So it’s officially fall. Ah yes the autumnal equinox. Here in New England that means cooler days and even cooler nights, way too many leaf peepers clogging up restaurants in Boston, and of course the return to hosiery for women. Thank goodness!

You know the old rule; white shoes are not to be worn before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. So yesterday Trudy the lawyer shows with some paperwork for me up in white shoes. It was a lovely outfit actually, pastel blue with off white hose and white shoes. I have seen it on the “Brownstone Studio” site. She was going to a wedding.

Unfortunately she was seasonally incorrect, as it was 60 degrees F and raining her yesterday. Nevertheless I still think she is sexy. And her makeup was fairly dramatic for her. I have had to tell her that I need to cut back on what I am doing for her, as my business is finally picking up again. She was not happy.

SLIP LOVERS!!!!! There do I have your attention? Ok. Old Pueblo Traders (and their Intimate Appeal subsidiary) have some really nice slips in lots of lengths. And they are expanding. Just the other day they added a new color to the Shadowline Floral Fascination range. So you can get 2 lengths of full slips, 2 lengths of half slip and/or camisole in red, lavender (they call it periwinkle) ivory, white or black.

Ok I agree. OPT is not inexpensive and they don’t have sales on their in season merchandise. But their delivery is a lot better than in the past, and who else offers this stuff. Floral Fascination is expensive, but if it is too much go for their “Dixie Belle” slips. Remember one thing though girls—always buy 2! You’ll be sorry of you don’t.

I have a number of faults and/or bad qualities. I am ALWAYS on time. Worse, I am often early. I chew gum. I wear too much makeup. I am oddly honest. So as recommended by me earlier in this passage I bough two of the red and Periwinkle slips in both the 26” length and the 28” length. They are $34.95 and if you buy two you get $2.00 whole dollars off. But I always wear 2, so I went for it.

But….when checking out I realized that if I bought one it was the regular price, but if I bought 2, each item was only $11.34! So I called them, and got a rather long lecture about how the computer was always correct, and I was dreaming. Well the stuff arrived and indeed I got these slips for $11.34. Try it and see girls, you never know.

Am I the only one who thanks that the homely overweight women are the ones that disparage plastic surgery?

I was watching a documentary the other night about Brie someone who used to be a newscaster on the west coast. She has a hereditary disease where her fingers and toes are fused together. What they didn’t mention was all the plastic surgery done on her face!

The difference between her as a pretty young thing and her now was astounding. She looks totally fake, Joan Rivers bordering on Asian eyes, huge lips and too much makeup Nothing natural left at all. I loved her!

My fiend Maxine is like this now. She’s also moving to Beverly Hills, but she has said this for some time
