So both Frishman’s and ShapeU are closing. How sad.
I have been buying from both for some time. I remember anxiously awaiting my “Vintage and Specials” email from Patricia at ShapeU. I missed a few great girdles because I didn’t react fast enough.
I met Patricia a few times at Lyn Locke’s events. Lovely person.
I had bought from Frishman’s online for a while as well. One day a few years ago on my way to Long Island I decided to stop in the Bronx and visit the store. They altered girdles while I waited! Find that these days.
I met Sandi Simon, the owner, and she was lovely. We “girls” were called “specials”. Some might be offended by this, but I like being special!

What I remember most about this trip was how much stuff I got. At Frishman’s I got slips, cami’s, bras and girdles. It was my second trip to Estelle’s Dressy Dresses and without any time constraints, and the ability to go back to my hotel and try everything on, I got 5 or 6 outfits.
I wish both of these wonderful people good luck and good health in their future.
In other news, I had dinner with Maxine the other might. Though living in New York now she is back in Boston a lot. In case you haven’t figured this out I meet a loot of nutty women, and Maxine may very well be on the top of the list.
She has become addicted to plastic surgery. Before she started she was a great looking late 40ish woman. Last year I thought she looked better. Now she looks odd. In just 3 years time (Maybe less in fact) she has had breast augmentation she didn’t need, liposuction, tummy tuck, silicone things put in her rear end, complete face lift, a more radical eyelift, her lips done, and more that I cannot remember.
She also seems happy for the first time since I have known her. And her breasts , though not real, are magnificent!
I went to Sephora yesterday. I got a young women who started following me around. Generally I like to shop without help in Sephora, but she was great. I picked out a turquoise shade from Nars, and she was off to the races. I got a few of the things she suggested. She gave me her card and suggested she could do a makeover on me. Imagine that!
Once again I have gotten lots of email about my cleavage. I am not on hormones, I have not had any surgery. I am plump. And have something to start with. Then there is tape, makeup, and the right forms and bra. Trial and error girls.
As you can see I am back to long nails. These are quite long in fact. I’ll go back to a more conservative length I’m sure.
The tops of this set is from Dana Kay, the skirt is one I had. The pictures I took in girdle and slip did not come out well. Sorry
I get the occasional email from a real girls, or GG’s (generic girl) if you please. I will post these in a few weeks, but I am starting to think that women are just as perverted as men, just more discreet.
