New Beginnings

New beginnings is a unique weekend especially designed to respond to the issues, and needs of teenagers in grades 7-9. It was created in the Diocese of Central Florida by adults and young people to help participants grow in their love of themselves, others and Jesus Christ.

Any person in grades 7 through 9 can attend a New Beginnings weekend. Participants do not have to be Episcopalian, but must be recommened through an Episcopal church and have the backing of an adult sponsor from that church who will be attending the entire weekend. Every church that sends 3 or more participants to New Begininnings must send an adult sponsor.

New beginnings is held at The Cathedral Domain. The program starts on Friday at 6pm and continues until Sunday at 5pm. The program consists of songs, skits, films, tapes, talks(by the youth and adults) and small group disscussions. The weekend focuses on the subjects of Self, Friends, Brothers and Sisters, Parents, School, God's Love, Jesus, and Prayer.

There is lots of time for playing (4 Square Rules!) creating, and sharing. Participants will not only learn and grow, but will also have a great time!

The weekend cost is $75 (including adult sponsors)
