This
July the Fabio Casartelli ride will be in it's forth year , the money raised
by this event will go to aid victims of bike racing accidents .
This
year they are following the lead of the Fondation Fabio Cassartelli in
Italy and have concentrated the event into a cyclosportive .By far the
most popular type of event in France .
The
route shall as always roll off from St Girons, the starting
point of the stage in which Fabio died in 1995 .
The
names of the cols that it shall be taking in .
Col
de la Core , Col de la Trappe , Col d'Agnes. approx. 123 or 102 km
On
the Sunday there shall be a memorial ride of 91 km with the traditional
stop at the memorial
at
the Stele on the Col de Portet d'Aspet where he fell.
