BMW M5 Cabriolet This car was almost in production in 1988 but a decision not to push ahead with the 5 Series cabrio bodystyle meant it was canned.
	BMW M8 BMW nearly produced this wild- looking 500hp V12 engined 8 Series.The car was to take on the likes of Ferrari's 348 and Porsche's 911 turbo.But a dramatic downturn in supercar sales sealed its fate.
	The Original M Roadster This was intended to be the original M Roadster but it's styling was considered too radical.
	M Compact BMW had originally planned a run of 500 M compacts but the cost of handbuilding it would see it's price shoot up above that of the M3 coupe.This convinced BMW that demand for the M compact was very limited.
