BOWLING LEAGUE RULES
(1999)
League starting time is 6:30 p.m. Practice bowling is at 6:25 p.m. League start date is Thursday, June 10, 1999. League ending date is Thursday, August 26, Our league will not be effected by any holidays. We will bowl three (3) games per night.
You are only allowed two (2) weeks in arrears for monies due. Cost for bowling is $8.00 per person each week. The last two weeks of bowling will need to be paid by the fourth week of bowling - July 1. Substitute bowlers will also pay the normal fee for that night ($8.00). Each team will be responsible for all money owed. If a team member drops out, it is the team’s responsibility to find a replacement and pay any monies due.
The 11th week of bowling will be a position round (August 19).
The 12th week of bowling will be our sweepstakes/banquet (August 26).
This is a handicap league (80%). Maximum handicap is 100 pins.
The average for each person will be established after the first three (3) games bowled.
Substitutes are permitted and will be used on a rotating basis. Substitute bowlers’ averages will be used. No new substitutes permitted after the 8th week.
Pacers are permitted if no substitute is available, however, their scores do not count but they have to pay. If there is no substitute or pacer available, the absent bowler will only need to pay $1.00 towards the price fund.
To constitute a legal lineup, you must have two (2) out of the four (4) bowlers present.
The league’s absentee score is: bowlers average minus 10 points.
The league’s vacancy score or blind score is: Men-140/Women-120.
Late bowlers: You have until the 3rd frame of the game to make up your missed frames BUT; you must do so before the last players of the opposing team throws his/her first ball.
If there is a tie for first place, there will be a one game roll-off on the last night of league bowling (August 26).
This is a non-sanction league. No sanction dues, no patches or achievement awards, etc.
Each team will consist of four (4) people (any combination - male, female, or coed).
Party Committee consists of three people: this committee will need to come up with a suggestion for our sweepstakes/fun night on August 26. Each suggestion needs to be handed in to the league secretary by the 6th week (July 15) of bowling so we can vote on them.
