Mary Sue Gets Petted

He had the physique of a mighty jungle cat, muscles rippling along his
forearms and legs, his shoulders sleekly sculpted to convey the unleashed
power of his every movement. Not an ounce of excess fat marred his abdomen,
which is why he displayed it proudly.
He always received more than his fair share of admiration - he was
irresistible. Some men had to work to keep fit, but he was one of the lucky
ones. He was simply born perfect.
Right now, he indulged in a perfect stretch, artistically posing his body to
reveal every sinew to its utmost desireability. She wasn't blind. Struck by
the splendor of his presence, she reacted just as he expected.
There was a loving sigh, then her sleepy voice murmured, "You are *so*
handsome. Come here, lover boy."
He saw no reason to disappoint her. He moved with a quiet elegance toward
the couch. She was sprawled on her back, her abundant mane spread
luxuriously over the cushions. He loved her hair, loved to bury his head in
it, loved the smell of it, loved the way a single curl could dance against
his nose until he could go mad from the teasing. He wasted no time in
curling his body into hers, their chests contacting in a battle of warm
flesh.
She cooed, then ran her fingertips over the back of his head, her nails
dancing gently through his gray hair. It felt good, so he pressed his body
more firmly against hers as encouragement.
She didn't disappoint as she proceeded to massage his shoulders and lower
back, whispering, "You're my best fellow. Oh, yes...you are."
Purring sounds erupted from his throat. The feeling was mutual. He loved the
way she smelled...
He began to explore, letting his whiskers tease along her neck, then across
one cheekbone until he reached a dainty earlobe. He licked his lips, then
began to run his tongue along the outside rim.
She broke out into giggles, lightly pushing his head aside. "That tickles!"
He didn't care about her ear at this point. His face was now buried in her
hair. She smelled incredible. He felt a sudden overwhelming urge...a
desire...
The contented smile had remained on her face while his purring sounds
continued to dance in her ears, her heart ready to explode with love for
this magnificent creature. she thought,
Suddenly, her hand stilled at the base of his tail. He was doing something
odd, something that tugged at her scalp. Natalie sat bolt upright.
"Sydney! Quit eating my hair!"
The cat bounced to a seated position on her stomach, then began to
rhythmically press his front paws into her stomach to make amends. A tuft of
golden brown hair dangled from his jaws and his pink tongue jutted out just
slightly over his lips as he blinked possessively in her direction.
Sydney looked so darling, Natalie couldn't resist cuddling him into her
chest once more. "Oh, you're my puddin' poo-pants!" she squealed. "Are you
ready to go to bed, sweetheart?"
"Rrowr!" Sydney preened proudly, master of her domain. He *always* got to
sleep with Natalie, a track record that left any old, incidental vampires in
the dust.
Natalie mused over how much she loved Sydney while she searched the bathroom
for a nighttime scrunchie to restrain her hair from his hungry jaws. He
offered gentle, dependable companionship and affection, making the world
seem better after the most exhausting, traumatic of nights. He was beyond
compare in that department. Even better, he didn't hog the covers, leave the
toilet seat up or drink blood.
Slipping between her cool sheets, Natalie felt a glow of happiness as her
cat snuggled against one of her arms. She could feel the beat of his heart
beneath her fingertips. "You're my perfect, jolly, good fellow, Sydney," she
murmured.
There was a gurgling sound, and Natalie glanced over to see her
beloved feline hunched over her hand. Suddenly, something warm and wet
plopped onto her palm. Natalie grimaced, then leaned over to grab some
tissues from her nightstand. "Yep, Syd...you're my Prince Charming with
hairballs."
