Player of the Week, part 3
Favre is making a mockery of the league. Add four more TDs for a total of
16. Mosakowski has taken over first place with a 46-39 win over Peil.

Bruce Untracked
Issac Bruce scored twice to help BEST beat Ricker 43-26.

Favre Leads Mosakowski to the Top
The new number one team is Mosakowski and Hale. Their 4-1 record allows them
to have the top spot alone. Brett Favre threw for 4 TDs, one to Keith Jackson,
and they held off PEIL 46-39. Peil wasted a BRFL record 22 points from kicker
Jeff Wilkins in the loss. It is the second time that Peil lost a game while
setting a position scoring record. In 1991, he lost to BEST despite getting
36 points from Buffalo QBs.
Defense Helps Barry fend off Talbot
The Barry/Talbot game hinged on the Dallas/Philadelphia Monday night game.
Talbot, trailing by five, seemed to have the inside track with PHI QB and
Dallas kicker. Barry had Ricky Watters and the PHI d. Watters scored on a
run (interestingly enough just after dropping a TD pass from Talbots QB).
In the second half, with Talbot chipping away with Chris Bonial, the PHI D
returned an interception and recorded a safety to salt away victory for Barry.
More kicker Blues for JK
John Kasey was leading the NFL with 47 points, but curiously enough, had not
recorded any BRFL points. This week, JK decided to use Kasey instead of Jason
Hanson. The net result: Kasey still hasn't recorded any BRFL points. It is
the third one point loss for Jones Klingman. The difference between last place
JK and first place MOS are the kicker points JK would have had if they had
used the OTHER kicker. Will JK kick anymore for JK? Who knows... By the way,
GATES won that game 26-25. Gates lands into second place.
Best Recovers from Slow Start
BEST beat RICKER 43-26 to rise to third place and now leads the league in
scoring. Three weeks ago, he was in last place and last in scoring. Little
by little, another player on his team breaks out. This week it is Issac Bruce
with his first two TD catches.
Next week it won't be Tshimanga Biakabatuka, as he blew out a knee and is lost
for the season. Spellcheck and spreadsheet programs rejoice!
Is BUD Tapped Out?
Deitrich suffered his third straight loss, this one to WALLACE 40-12. 12 points
is a franchise low for BUD. Wallace welcomed the possible return of Chris
Warren, who has been in a season long funk. In other games, JACKSON finally
found an opponent who would score on him, STROUPE 43-24. James "Little
Man", getting some playing time thanks to the AFC East bye, took it in twice.
OUTLAW whipped CZ 39-21 despite his QB bye. Rashaan Salaam has returned and
scored.
