29 CZ NYJ QB 6, CMartin 8, JHall 11, NE D 4
23 JK WDunn 8, RLongwell 9, Pit D 6
JK's poor effort in week one sent them shopping. However, help was
on the roster as benched James Stewart scored two, and discarded Jay Graham showed
what he could do for Baltimore. CZ could be accused of looking ahead
to his New England Battle Royale in week 3, but it was enough to get by the
un-dynamic duo.
56 BST NE QB 24, T Barber 7, ESmith 1, CCarter 1, RCunningham 17, SF D 3
22 CJ DLevens 1, EGeorge 7, SBlanton 7, CAR D 7
Jackson had 7 of his 8 players going in the 1:00 game, and at 4:00, it was
Bledsoe 24, Jackson 21. Best's 131 points is the greatest start in BRFL
history. Bledsoe has accounted for 49 of those points. The next most productive
player in BRFL points? Best's kicker Richie Cunningham. These are indeed
Happy Days.
28 BUD BAl QB 6, J Bettis 7, D Alexander 1, BEngram 6, AVintieri 7, MIA D 1
27 STP TDavis 7, GHearst 6, IFryar 1, MHusted 6 DEN D 7
Bud is 2-0, familiar territory, having been 2-0 for three straight years.
By the way Stroupe does have a QB on his roster. It is Washington's
Gus Ferrotte. He might was well start Peyton Manning...or Archie.
62 GTS Det QB 13, BSanders 8, JMorton 8, ARison 8, NKauffman 7, NJohnson 2, KC D 9
25 BR Den QB 14, JElam 10, GB D 1
Gates gets the turnaround award, more than quadrupling his week 1
output. Crazy 8's: Three players accounted or 8 points a piece.
Ricker's five players have only accounted for 1 TD in two weeks.
26 MOS SF QB 8, MStover 11, SEA D 7
19 TAL MIN QB 12, MAlstott 6, GAnderson 1
Mosakowski was one of 4 winners with scores in the 20's (is
Adam Barry green with envy?). The "Jim Druckenmiller" era could be indefinite
until Young returns.
Talbot finds himself right in the middle of things. 8th place, about
the same number scored as given up. However, this is where he usually
stays - until he pours it on in November.
48 WAL PIT QB 6, NMeans 13, CPickens 6,SSharpe 2, MHollis 17, STL D 4
47 BAR KC QB 13, TThomas 6, EMcCaffery 12 AReed 6, DPelphrey 5, PHL D 5
Probably one of the most entertaining BRFL games in years. Two guys getting
the max out of their rosters and then having the game decided on the
weekend's final play. Last year, Barry and Wallace staged a similar
shootout in week 3, Barry waited out Wallace's Jerome Bettis in the second half
of a Monday night game and winning 41-39.
25 DP OAK QB 12, TBrown 2, JSmith 1, CBlanchard 7, Cin D 3
22 OUT CIN QB 6, TKirby 2, OMcDuffie 1, WWalls 1, JKasay 9, Oak D 3
Peil achieved best case scenario Monday night. His Oakland QB/Tim Brown
combo gave him enough to beat Outlaw and his beloved Chiefs won the game.
Outlaw didn't lose a superstar to injury this week. That is about all
you could say.
