3-0 Best is now the lone undefeated team as Wallace, Peil and Dietrich suffered set backs. Best, in his tenth BRFL season, has defeated, in succession, the three other teams that remain from the year that he joined: JK, Jackson and CZ. |

Last year BUD, lost to Talbot in week 3 and then lost his next 4 and 6 of 7.
Now that JK has tasted victory for the first time, can they sustain the
momentum? By the way, Duke coach Fred Goldsmith, fell into a familiar trap
that JK has been in before: choosing the wrong kicker can get you in trouble.
At least JK hasn't been sued...JK to do something Goldsmith can't: win.
While many teams have started 3-0, no one in BRFL history has scored as
many (181) points so early. Not BUD in 1995 (140) or CZ in 1992 (151). Gates
started off with the fewest points in week 1 and has risen to second place
in two weeks. Two hot teams with favorable QB match ups. Gates seems to have
the edge when it comes to backs Barry Sanders v the Saints and Napoleon
vs the Jets. Best is missing three starters in the first of a tough two week
bye period.
The "Bears/Packers" of the BRFL - a matchup that dates back to 1986.
Last year 120 points were scored in this game. 53 for Jackson. CZ will win
again, but not with 67 points.
Stroupe is on vacation...Bad news for MOS. Stroupe never loses when
vacationing. However,
San Francisco has Atlanta at home, great news for MOS
A rematch of last year's "What the hell was that game" last place Peil 65,
first place Wallace 35. Ironically, Oakland, Wallace's QB last year,
is now Peils QB and they should be a factor against the Jets. Peil to win.
