It is no surprising to verify, as the years passed by, how much influence has exert or will exert the music of John Williams (and specially his Star Wars) on the subsequent generations of film music composers. In the same way as Williams himself has do with the sound style and the visual attaching of the scores of Waxman, Korngold or Steiner, the british David Arnold more than mimicry, feels a certain empathy to the work of Williams, and so much of the essence and the overwhelming sound presence of this work seems in debt with the galactic orchestra of the New York composer: wide orchestral resources, timbre variation and a obvious epic tone very close to the story which comes with. The result, as explosive and spectacular as the images of the film, its a good sound test for any equipment. It is recommended to be careful with the neighbours' complaints. M.A.F.
