THE MICHAEL KAMEN SOUNDTRACK ALBUM

In this compilation, the English Michael Kamen conducts his own variations of some of his more famous compositions for the cinematographic world, with the musicians of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in most of the cues, with the exception of the numbers 5 and 9 that they are performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra, another of Kamen's customary ensembles. Twelve cues that are commented by the composer in the booklet of the CD, each one of them belonging to a different film, except the first two that belong to the same one, Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves (1991). All the themes are composed in solitary by Kamen, with the exception of Nuclear Train, that it is also by Eric Clapton, and the famous song Brazil from Ary Baroso, the base of his score, here sung by Kate Bush. I'll simply emphasize to the followers of this musical genius, do not relied and do not let of acquiring this record only because they have the original disks; because nobody better than the own author to be permitted to vary and orchestrate again (unless two of the cues) his scores. And that we will always feel the lack of more than a theme within this compilation. I.P.Y.
