Bruce Broughton: LOST IN SPACE

Using a combined formulation intended to satisfy all kinds of public interested in the world of the soundtracks (this is, from the purist that seeks the incidental music, as well as to that only prepared to listening songs, have to do with or not with the movie), this edition of the music from the film version of the famous television series of the sixties Lost in Space, presents eight cues of techno and/or disco orientation, mixing songs of groups as The Crystal Method or Propellerheads, together with almost twenty-nine minutes of the original score by Bruce Broughton. His eleven themes, that do not use in any moment the original theme of the series written by John Williams (which can be listened in a very distorted and "streamlined" version, in the first cue of the disk), show him once again as a composer more capable and creative than what may be see after a first impression of mimetic appearance with the style of the same Williams, displaying an exquisite orchestral balance as well as a great melodic facility that can tasted along and broad of anyone of his works.
