Much of of the information on Frederick's family came from Janet T. Riemer in a 22 Jan 1987 letter to Edna B. Taylor:

"The record in the Old Tennent Church turned out to be gold after all. I'm confident now that it is the record for your Frederick Woodhull Buckelew and it has led to much more.

"Last Friday evening, I attended a meeting of the Genealogical Society of N.J. Board of Trustees and drove to the meeting with Albert Stokes, Treasurer of the Society. He had done considerable work on the early Buckelews many years ago so I asked him about the Buckelew records in the Old Tennent Church. he said that they were for children of two Fredericks and offered to get out his old notes to compare with mine. I went to visit him yesterday and he had several items of interest to you.

"The primary item was a family record which had been sent to him years ago by Mr. L. l. Bucklew of Encinitas, CA...." The information here referred to has been incorporated into the accompanying record of Frederick's family."

On 27 July 2000, correspondence was begun with Dr. Donald B. Anthony, PhD, of Palo Alta, CA, whose grandmother was Minnie Elliot (Buckelew) Anthony. Dr. Anthony had in his possession the family Bibles of his great-grandfather, William Cogan Buckelew, and his great-great-grandfather, Dr. Frederick Buckelew, M.D., and shared with us the family records from those Bibles. This information has been added substantially to the descendancy records of Frederick and Margaret (Dunn) Buckelew in this file.

On 4 March 1784 when Frederick was 28, he married Margaret Dunn, daughter of William Dunn & Nancy. Born on 19 December 1761. Margaret died on 29 April 1829; she was 67. Buried in Perrineville Cem., Plainsboro, NJ.

Another source gives Margaret's death date 29 April.
