"When Roy was a teenager, his family lived for a short time in Creston, IA. A lot of the family members stayed in IA and there are many descendants of SEE in that area. Roy Moved back to WV.

"Middleport, OH, is where Roy was working with the railroad. This kept him from his family a great deal, so he chose to take up farming and moved to Gunville, WV, a community in the southern part of Mason Co. He was a hard working man and a successful farmer of 117 acres. "

On 6 April 1911 when Roy Russell was 19, he married Bertha Cossin, daughter of Elisha Cossin & Cornelia Rider, in Gallia Co., OH. Born on 26 March 1893. Bertha died in Mason Co., WV, on 23 March 1956; she was 62. Buried in Creston Cem., Mason Co., WV. Occupation: Homemaker.
