List of Tools in Windows 98 Reskit
Well you really don't need a bunch of Bloated Third Party utilities with Windows 98;
Just take a look at it's Reskit. Over 100 tools. Ya don't need "Nut's and Bolts" or a bunch of other bloated memory hogging applications like Norton Utilities.
I tested Norton and found no use for it; and I've always been a Norton Fan and user until 98.
Well, I do recommend Norton Anti-Virus. That's pretty hard to beat.

CHECKLINKS.EXE: Link Check Wizard

The Link Check Wizard scans all of the link (shortcut) files on your system, and checks to see if the link points to an existing application or document. If the associated application or document is not found, the Wizard lists that file as a dead link, giving you the option to remove it.

To find out more information about a particular link, right-click its entry in the list of dead links.

To remove a link, check the box next to it.

To remove all of the listed links, click Select All.
When you have selected all of the links you want to remove, click Finish.

NOTE The Link Check Wizard requires Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher to run on Windows 98.
