Uninstalling Microsoft Backup

1.Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.Double-click Add/Remove Programs, and then click the Windows Setup tab.
3.In the Components list, click System Tools, and then click Details.
4.Click to clear the Backup check box, and then click OK.
5.Click Apply.

Back up hard drive using Microsoft Backup

NOTE: These steps assume you have Microsoft Backup installed. If the 'Backup' option is
not available, contact next-level support to have it installed, or use a third-party utility.

1) Click 'Start' on the Windows taskbar. (The 'Start' menu appears.)
2) Select 'Programs' and select 'Accessories'.
3) Select 'System Tools' and select 'Backup'. (The 'Microsoft Backup' screen
appears.)
4) Click 'OK'. (The 'Untitled - Microsoft Backup' window appears.)
5) Select the check box of the drive to back up. (All folders and files are selected
and the progress is shown in the 'File Selection' box.)
6) Click 'Next Step'.
7) Select the drive to back up to.
8) Click 'Start Backup'. (The 'Backup Set Label' dialog box appears.)
9) Type a name for the backup in the 'Backup set' text box and click 'OK'.

Error: Microsoft Backup unable to read from the...(due to insufficient time).

Microsoft Backup unable to read from the disk or network drive. Quit and restart Backup, and then try again.
Cause: The floppy drive being used requires more time between disk operations. The timing implemented by Windows 95 is not sufficient for the floppy drive.

Solution: Adjust timing for the drive being used. This task should be performed by a qualified computer technician.
