Windows 98 Newsgroups; Subscribe the Easy Way

Here is all the 98 Newsgroups I could find. Note: When you click on a link it WILL open your new News Reader and enter itself there. Of course, all you have to do if you don't want it there is highlight it and press the "Delete" key.

Also remember that some of these Newsgroups are very large and can download 1000's of articles. So you can set your browser to only Download a few. For instance, I have mine set to only download 100 articles at a time.

IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE

I can't say for sure what the problem might be, but here's how to subscribe to that newsgroup.

Run Microsoft News and choose News, Options. When the Options dialog box opens, click the Server tab. Click Add and then click the General tab (if necessary). Type in

msnews.microsoft.com

and click the Connection tab. Select the radio button labeled "I use a modem to access my newsgroups." Select your dial-up server from the list box and click OK.
