My husband, Rene', and I had a difficult time
planning our Wedding. It is hard to know the
best way to go when you are only supposed to get
married once! Well, it just didn't seem fair to
only have one major celebration for a love, a
relationship, and a commitment that are supposed
to last a lifetime. We decided to make one day
a year a little more special than all of the others...

May 21, 1994

Rene' proposed to me on top of a mountain in
Phoenix, AZ as we were watching a beautiful sunset.
Naturally, I said, "Yes!"

The Kiss!!!

We got married at sunset in a quaint little church
in Chandler, AZ. We exchanged vows surrounded by
candlelight, and lots of family and friends. It was
a rather normal, traditional wedding.

Every year since then we have continued
to celebrate our love for each other.
We have renewed our vows each and every
year, in different ways, in different places,
but always at sunset and always with
the same biblical passage...

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.  It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking, it is not
easily angered, it keeps no record
of wrongs.  Love does not
delight in evil but rejoices with
the truth.  It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres.  Love never fails.
