Oct 23 1999
A new sell
has been listed. The MACD curves appear to be bottoming out for
EMC, and with a small amount of trading left it seems wise to
take profits.
Other trades next week may include PBI, and CI.
Oct 07 1999
Costco has
made nice gains for us. The MACD curves and stochastics appear
to be topping out so I recommened selling out the position.
Sun is sitting at its 13 day EMA, which, could be a bullish indicator.
We'll watch it tomorrow and see what happens.
Safeway is now completely undervalued. I may add another position
to average down again. We'll watch the MACD curves tomorrow and
decide.
Sept 23 1999
Well, it
is complete madness out there. Talk about volatility. One stock
that I really like right now is Costco. It has actually been climbing
in a down market. In fact, the MACD curves now look great, and
I have added a position in it. Second, sell Lexmark. Lexmark is
gaining ground, and from what I hear, their earnings numbers tomorrow
(Friday) should be strong. Third, I have added buys for EMC and
SUNW.
Sept 15 1999
Today was
a good day for the SWY positions. I'm really confident that SWY
will trend upward. Lexmark and Lucent are now the focus of my
worries. Both stocks appear to moving sideways, which only allows
time value to erode the price of the option. Exiting now will
only prove a minor loss, and I don't want to be holding options
that expire within a month.
I have added puts on SUNW. Please look at the options page for
more details.
Sept 13 1999
Still watching
for something lucrative. It seems to be a good time to average
down on SWY, and have listed a new purchase for SWY calls as the
MACD curves/Stochastic now appear to be bottoming out.
Aug 25 1999
Costco stumbled,
but it seemed to be expected as the stochastic curves were showing
signs of weakness. I added Safeway as a new buy, as the potential
for a $53 target seems very reasonable. Also, I would like to
sell Lucent soon, so please watch carefully, and sell at your
discretion if it moves to the upside tomorrow.
Aug 24 1999
I've decided
to sell out Wal-Mart, Costco, and Novell (which I did while on
holidays). I can't exactly pick the top, but I feel a sufficent
profit has been made. Other than that, I see no other strong buy
or sell signals. As always, I'm glued to the charts and will inform
you when a situation arises.
Aug 14 1999
This rally
is great. I'm only disappointed that I didn't jump into Home Depot,
and get into my Walmart and Novell trades about a day sooner.
The recent rally, hopefully signifies the bottom of the July decline.
I would hate to see a repeat of last year. I'll be away next week
travelling the Rockies, so watch WMT and NOVL. If WMT should hit
the $47 area, consider selling. If NOVL should hit the $27 area,
sell. For some of you, you may even want to take profits now.
I won't be able to make recommendations this week so simply watch
WMT and NOVL, and as always take care and good luck. PS. I may
send an update this weekend.
July 29 1999
So Lucent
isn't moving in my direction. The stochastics still remain bullish,
and as long as the MACD curves remain in the positive range, all
things look good - even though today proved knock some life out
of the stock.
While we wait for Lucent to come back, you should look at the
charts for Costco, and Walmart. Both
look very enticing, with bullish stochastic and MACD oscillators
trending towards neutral.
July 25 1999
I'm selling
out both Oracle and Microsoft now. Other companies I'm watching
are COST and WMT. The stochastic curves now appear bullish for
both - but I will stand aside to watch Mondays performance.
July 14 1999
New options
purchase listed.
July 11 1999
I have placed
many sell recommendations for Monday. Patience paid off this time.
Some new positions that I may post on Monday night, or Tuesday,
will involve ORCL. As SUNW and MSFT forge some new highs, some
short positions may develop, but give this at least a week before
we see any signs.
June 28 1999
The only
thing I know is this market is losing me money. MRK hasn't moved
- when will its 5th wave start is any ones guess at this moment.
I may post new positions tomorrow regarding LSI Logic and Oracle.
Once again, sorry about the lack of updates, but I decided to
take some summer school at university. Everything being finished,
I should have time now to update more often.
June 17 1999
A few sells,
but no new buys at the moment. If you are looking for a reasonable
purchase look at TOM, Tommy Hilfiger. I'm very worried with MRK
for the remaining time, but not for the long term, as it will
have to move to the upside. MSFT is finally moving, and I'm hoping
for one of it's miraculous jumps, which I have been waiting patiently
for. Maybe the July 90's won't die miserably after all. The Oct
MSFT calls definitely look good, and in the event the July calls
end in the negative, the Oct calls will provide some security.
I'm watching UAL now...looks very good - see what happens tomorrow.
June 6 1999
Friday proved
to be the day that could confirm the end of the DOW's recent decline.
If Monday is flat or to the upside, this would further the notion
that we have more upside to come for the month. Many positions
in MRK, and MSFT are extremely lagging. By Fridays actions, it
shows the bottoms have been solidified, but when will the upward
momentum start is my question.
June 3 1999
Well Microsoft
seems to be the bear of all the picks. Merck, and McDonalds finally
appear to have some life in them. The DOW may not be finished
with its' downfall. It appears the DOW is in a wave 4 to the downside,
which could continue into mid June possibly. If tomorrow proves
to be flat, or to the upside, this would add to the notion we
are at the bottom of the wave 4 - which would be preferable at
the moment - and thus allow the wave 5 to kick in. On May 16,
I stated the DOW would fall, but understated the amount. Let's
see what happens tomorrow and re-evaluate over the weekend.
June 1 1999
I have issued
a new buy for Delta Airlines call options. The whole airline sector
took a severe percentage drop throughout May. By the looks of
the MACD curves, it is very possible to have a comfortable rebound
this month.
Second, the dow looks to have stopped it losing streak, and the
coming week should give us some upside movement.
