One day Katarina and Sailor V were working together to catch some criminals. They were investigating a warehouse. Sailor V went in first. When she was in the middle of the warehouse she saw a man at the other entrance of the building. He threw a bomb and the entire warehouse burned down. Sailor V was injured but she made her way into a nearby alley.
From the dark alley, Sailor V saw Katarina and Alan. Katarina was crying in Alan's arms and saying that Sailor V was gone. Alan said that he would comfort Katarina and be with her. Sailor V realized that Alan was in love with Katarina. Mina decided that she would disappear and not interfere with their relationship.
Serena found Mina's decision hard to accept. She thought it was too cruel and unfair to Mina.
Then youma Papiyon came into the room. Serena transformed into Sailor Moon. Papiyon said she now knew Sailor Moon's true identity but Sailor Moon said she didn't care. Papiyon attacked Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon dodged the attack then said she was so angry she wasn't going to run away this time. She said that Papiyon had stepped on a young girl's innocent heart. Then she knocked Papiyon away using the Moon Tiara attack.
The pendant fell from Papiyon's neck and landed near Sailor Venus. As Sailor Venus picked it up, the locket popped open. Suddenly Sailor Venus asked Sailor Moon to save Papiyon. She said the youma was really Katarina. "But you trusted her as a big sister," said Sailor Moon, "and she betrayed you and took away your love!"
"Please save her." Sailor Venus looked at Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon trusted Venus. She used the Moon Healing power of the Crescent Moon Wand and turned Papiyon back into Katarina.
Inside the locket was a picture of Katarina with both Alan and Mina. Mina said that the enemies had used Katarina because they found out that she knew Sailor V.
Katarina and Sailor Venus embraced. Katarina said she was sorry. "I never knew about your feelings," apologized Katarina, "I thought of you as a child."
Later, the five girls were standing near the docks looking out over the ocean. Mina was alone by the water's edge while the others stood in a group aways back. Raye and Amy said that Mina looked very sad. "Shouldn't we go comfort her?" asked Lita.
"It's better to leave her alone," said Serena, "Mina is actually more mature than any of us."
Mina was looking at the photograph of herself with Alan. She let go of the picture and the wind carried it away.
