HURRICANE RIDGE CAVE
Hurricane Cave is located in West Virginia and has only one entrance.The cave originally had no natural entrance and was dug open. The cave has 2.5 miles of surveyed passage and is still being surveyed to date. The entrance passage is a small stream passage which drops considerably in depth before reaching the main stream canyon. Once the main canyon is reached the cave becomes larger in size with upper levels being developed at this point. Caution should be used when entering because the entrance floods shut. The cave is gated and landowner permission is necessary for entry. ENJOY THE PHOTOS!
