CHAMBERS CAVE
Chambers Cave is located in West Virginia. The cave has one entrance, which is a crawlway that eventually intersects the main passage of the cave in the middle of the system. There is approximately 2.75 miles of passage in the cave. A small stream flows along the main passage. Heading downstream goes for some distance as low and wet passage that eventually opens up before the downstream terminus. Heading upstream in the main passage continues as medium to large passage until you reach the upstream end of the cave. There is a complex upper level developed along the way toward the upstream end of the cave. Near the upstream end of the cave the passage becomes larger with flat floors and easy traveling. A few large speleothems are developed along the passage. The cave is closed by the landowner. Permission was given to take pictures for the landowner's family. ENJOY THE PHOTOS!
