Over the past 150 years, Forsyth County, North Carolina has seen much growth and change. From simple farming villages like Tobaccoville and Rural Hall to automobiles, work, education, religion, sports, and recreation, the county has been at the forefront of change in the New South.

Author Cindy Casey has selected more than 200 vintage images from the Frank Jones Collection of the Forsyth County Library and several private collections. These historic photographs capture the spirit from the past that shape the character of the community today.
