Welcome to Kolohe and Lego's webpage!
Lego and Kolohe are two Tonkinese kittens. Tonkinese are an intelligent and affectionate breed of cat that originally comes from crossing a Burmese and a Siamese. Tonks come in four coat colors (natural, blue, champagne and platinum) with 3 different coat patterns (solid, mink and point). The solids have the same coat and eye color as a Burmese while a point has the same coat and eye color of a Siamese. The mink pattern is the true tonkinese pattern and is an intermediate between siamese and burmese in both eye color and fur. Mink tonks have the most beautiful aqua eyes which is considered by some to be the defining trait of the tonkinese. All 3 kinds, regardless of their appearance, have the precious Tonkinese personality and the unique tonkinese "type." If you'd like to learn more about tonks please read the Tonkinese Mythology page. This information was put together by tonk breeders around the nation.
You're wondering what colors our kittens are right? Lego, the one in the back, is a platinum mink little boy. Kolohe (which means mischief in Hawaiian) is in the front and she is a blue point. They are about 3 months old in these pictures. Here is another picture of them that shows the difference in color a little better. There are a lot more pictures in the 2nd gallery page. As you can see below Lego's color (like in the tail) is a lighter shade than Kolohe's.
My Lego is now a Grand Premier! Here's his official title:
GP Gulfcats Quicksilver
(That's his official name, Lego is what we call him affectionatly.)

GREAT NEWS! We have a 3rd tonk! We have adopted a blue mink tonk named PR Sazikatz Blue Chip (Chip for short). He comes from the Sazikatz Cattery, formerly Toytown, owned by Sheryl Zink. There are a few pictures of him in the Gallery. Mostly fuzzy digital camera ones. I'll get better ones soon. Meanwhile, here's a shot of his cute fuzzy mug.
