CNC Logo STUDENTS PREPARE FOR "LIFEFEST ‘98"

NEWS> CNC students travelled to St. Walburge's church in Preston for this year's academic mass, which was backed up by other events which constituted "Lifefest". The annual mass and the rest of the festival took place on Friday, October 17th at 1.30pm. It's believed to be the first time the Mass has been held at the landmark, which boasts Britain's third highest spire, at 303ft. It's believed that organisers wanted to revitalise the event by making it part of a wider event exploring the meaning of life. In recent years attendances at the mass have dropped, prompting the college to attempt to make it more accesible and appealing to students. Free buses were provided between the college and St. Walburge's to encourage students to travel, although it remains to be seen whether or not a Friday afternoon slot will work.
