CNC Logo NEWS IN BRIEF

CNC's first Summer school has been hailed as a major success. Courses in basic Maths, English and IT were offered to local people free of charge during the summer break. The government-sponsored scheme, which enabled the college to make new connections in the area, was well supported and could return next year.

Shocking news from St. A's - it appears that the CNC staff (or students!) were a bad influence on ex-chaplain Fr. Mike Murphy. Since leaving the college at Easter he has dramatically cut down on his alcohol intake and late-night drinking. Meanwhile, St. Joseph's resident Tom Cahill has vowed to give up smoking within a year. Exclusive interview in the Staff Focus supplement.
