Cookham Scout Troop General Information

We meet on Friday evenings between 7.00pm and 9.30pm, in Cookham!

We cater for boys aged 10-16 years

Our Troop is organised using the Patrol system

Our Patrol Leaders meet as a Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC) monthly

The PLC decide and organise the Programme, Camps, Activities, Badges, Rules etc.,

The PLC is responsible for making Progress Awards and Proficiency Badge Awards - many of which are gained by just participating in our busy Troop programme.
The PLC also sets and maintains standards for uniform, attendance and behaviour. The Troop PLC is our mouthpiece at a District level too.

Close links are maintained with the Cub Packs and Venture Units, often through joint activities.

Welcome to the 1st Cookham Scout Troop

We are part of the largest group in the Maidenhead District. We offer a unique opportunity for you to enjoy Scouting in an adventurous and safe environment.

Cookham also run Leadership training courses for PLs and APLs to help them succeed at the task of running their Patrol, Camps and the Troop
