At Cookham the PLC is responsible for organising and running the Troop.
Through regular meetings the PLs discuss and plan the programme; badge awards and requirements and deal with other issues like Uniform; Troop rules; departures from the Troop or discipline issues.
Obviously, this is only
valuable if the PLs know and understand that they are fully supported in their
efforts by the Leader Team. The PLs are expected to support all the Troop
events and the majority of Group events, should always lead by example and
set good standards for the rest of the Troop to follow.
In return events and Camps are organised for the PLs when time in the programme
permits.
