Snapple Pumps Up Winter Sales With Seasonal Smoothie

Winter Whipper Expected to Warm-up Shelf Space

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1999-- Snapple, the company that revolutionized the packaged smoothie category with the launch of its WhipperSnapple(TM) line, has developed a seasonal flavor for winter. Introducing Winter Whipper: a blend of winter inspired fruit juices and a hint of dairy whipped into a delicious smoothie. The cranberry - raspberry smoothie hit store shelves in October for a limited run this holiday season.

Packaged in the award winning 10-ounce swirl shaped bottle that has become the signature of the WhipperSnapple(TM) line, Winter Whipper will stand out with its own unique, full-bottle wrap. The wrap will feature a festive winter scene.

The launch of Winter Whipper will be supported through point-of-sale materials, including customized header cards. Winter Whipper will be the lead item in the WhipperSnapple(TM) in-store display effort.

The WhipperSnapple(TM) line is currently composed of six fruit smoothies and two herbally enhanced power smoothies. Launched in the spring of 1998, WhipperSnapple(TM) won the 1998 Edison Award and the 1998 Convenience Store News Award for best new non-alcoholic beverage product.
